This sounds like a winning strategy. I am doing a lot with substack in the new year too. I love a lot of the "tools" offered. I'm still a beginner and have a small audience, but it's an audience and I have room for growth. Best of luck with your plans I hope you have a great 2025.
I agree wholeheartedly. Substack is a great community of a wide range. Welcome! Been on for over two years and engage with folks all over the world . An not familiar with convertkit How is this used?

I am relatively new to Substack but I like the way it is. I agree with you about the people here -- they do seem mostly like a decent lot.
I had a brief flirtation with Twitter (before Musk bought it) and it was just toxic as all hell.
I had another brief liaison with LinkedIn but it seemed totally fake to me. I didn't like it.
No idea what other social media is like...
I have a question though: Do you not think it is a good idea to have your own website as a kind of 'head office'? And then have Substack as a subsidiary?
I just started here myself, and I can already see what you mean about the community. Substack definitely feels different to other platforms. Thanks for sharing your insights!
I love this. 🙌 I've been writing on Substack for a year now, and I agree with every one of your points -- the most important one being the *community.*
Nothing can beat being plugged into a system where the creators and consumers actually care about one another... as long as Substack can maintain that atmosphere, I'm proud to call it home.
Notes are a game changer! I've been writing for 1 year but only started engaging with people and posting notes recently, and growth has started to ramp up! I'm still to hit 100 subs but I'm closer now than ever.
I totally agree about Substack – great quality, unique content, and organic growth. The way you grew your audience so quickly is truly inspiring. Well done!

Thank you, Mary! You too :)
Looking forward to seeing your growth on Substack in 2025!

I agree people here are friendly and supportive. Learning a lot from other readers. Purely enlightening.
I appreciate this greatly.
I haven’t been spending too much time in Substack though I see its benefit. Maybe there’s a little fear there.
But as I prepare for 2025 and trying to make it a year better than the last, I can’t get away from Substack being a big part of that.
This article nicely frames out how to do that. I appreciate it.

It depends! It's way harder to get traffic to your own website versus tapping into a platform with millions of users (aka, Substack).
But if you sell digital products or services, having your own website has it's own benefits for sure!

It really does!
Same for me! I love it here the most...
Does this mean posting more on SubStack or stopping your posting elsewhere?
I'm posting more on Substack!
I've had this phrase touring my head for the last few days.
It's here, on this quality post by Jari, that I will share it.
Medium.com is so dead that it will take a psychic "medium" to contact it.
They've broken it beyond repair.
Us writers?
We carry on regardless.
