I saw the offer yesterday and signed up for the annual membership via my phone at writebuildscale.substack.com/subscribe with the coupon code for 90% off. I was charged the $8.50, but I don't see that my Substack account has been upgraded. I wonder if that's because my Apple Pay email is different from my Substack email. Do you see a payment for $8.50 from Rachel Haviland? Thanks!

If you already have an active subscription, you won't be able to overwrite that. Unfortunately, that just doesn't work on Substack. If you want to catch one of the discounted tiers, you'll have to cancel your existing subscription and re-enroll. I'm really sorry; unfortunately, there is no other way to manage that on Substack.
