Ideas Mean Nothing If You Don’t Share Them
Only when you start sharing your ideas do they become valuable.
This email is part two of a 5-day email series where I share five short lessons or insights that I wish I learned sooner when I started writing online.
(Click here to read yesterday’s email, where we talked about why you don’t have to be an ‘expert’ to write about a topic.)
Lesson #2: Ideas Mean Nothing If You Don’t Share Them
It doesn’t matter…
How brilliant your ideas are
How creative your ideas are
How unique your ideas are
How inspiring your ideas are
… If you never share your ideas.
I know it sounds obvious, but it’s true.
There are so many people out there who have creative ideas, inspiring stories, and unique insights - but they never share it publicly.
Ideas that other people could benefit from. Stories that could inspire someone. Insights that could change someone’s perspective.
You can keep these ideas only in your head, but that makes them practically worthless.
You won’t impact others with it that way. You won’t build an audience with it that way. You won’t make an income with it that way.
Only when you start sharing your ideas do they become valuable.
