I was sitting on the fence about going paid with my Substack but reading your article has opened up my thinking about it. It’s true that I’d love to earn income from my writing although it’s hard to imagine anyone would want to pay to read it!
Thank you - from the perspective of someone new to Substack, it sounds like good advice. Irony of course is that not being familiar with Substack means that my approval is not as valuable as it would be if I had been on Substack for years.
I think providing valuable solid content for my paid subscribers and sales-pitching it often are two pieces of good advice I need to hear.
