How I Launched A Digital Product In 24 Hours (And Made $1,140)
And I didn’t even create the product yet…
A few months ago, I launched a digital product within 24 hours of getting the initial idea for it (that’s a new record for me).
It’s called the Peak Performance Database.
This database features 100+ science-based productivity tools, techniques, and habits to get more done in less time.
It generated $1,140 in pre-order sales over a weekend - and it added an extra $1k a month in revenue to my online business.
In this article, I’ll share four key lessons I learned from launching this digital product in less than 24 hours, so you can use it to launch your own digital products.
#1: Sell Before You Build
One of my core principles for creating and launching digital products is to always sell before you build.
You don’t want to spend weeks or months creating a digital product that nobody wants.
(Believe me, I’ve been there. It sucks.)
You need to validate if there’s enough demand for your product before you build it.
And no, asking your audience if they ‘would be interested’ in buying isn’t enough.
When there’s no money at stake, everyone says they’re interested.
But the moment you start asking for money, interest can fade quickly.
Words are cheap, money is expensive.
That’s why I’m a big fan of doing pre-order launches. There’s nothing that better validates demand for a product than actual sales.
If enough people want to pay for your product — even though it’s not live yet — you know you’re onto something.
With the Peak Performance Database, I made 62 pre-order sales in a weekend, which showed me there’s enough demand for this product.
(And in case there wouldn’t be enough demand, I’d simply refund everyone who placed their pre-order.)
When the pre-order launch was done, I had about two weeks to actually create the product, but it was a lot more fun knowing I had already made money with it.
#2: Make It A No-Brainer Offer
Instead of hoping people will buy your product, make it a no-brainer offer.
As Alex Hormozi said, “Make people an offer so good they would feel stupid saying no.”
Here’s how I made the Peak Performance Database a no-brainer offer:
Impulsive Price Range: At a pre-order price of only $19, it’s a purchase you don’t have to think long about. I’ve purposefully made this a lower-priced product, as most of my other products are more expensive (which the majority of my audience can’t afford).
Pre-Order Bonus: Everyone who pre-ordered also received the Habit-Building Workshop (a 1-hour course) as a bonus. The bonus itself would already justify the $19 purchase, making it a true no-brainer offer.
Value-To-Price Ratio: This database features over one hundred productivity tools, techniques, and habits. In other words, the value you receive is much higher than the price you pay, making it a no-brainer.
Money-Back Guarantee: I offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all my digital products. This removes the element of risk from the buyer's side, making it a more appealing offer.
All in all, the more of a no-brainer your offer is, the more sales you’ll make. It’s as simple as that.
